I can't imagine a much more exciting pelican experience, Cathy! I think "paradise" must truly be the best description of all for that. My most memorable one is less exciting but it happened many, many times: my mother would take me—I must have been 4 or 5 yrs. old—to a park near our house to "see the pelicans." That was one of my favorite things to do, if not THE favorite! I just loved those pelicans from the very first time I saw them.
Here in Basel we have a wonderful set-up for the pelicans, so I have had some fantastic opportunities to get pics of them. J

I love them, too. My most memorable pelican experience was in Negril, Jamaica. I went out for an early morning swim where I floated around in warm, ocean water watching pelicans dive around me for fish while the sun rose from behind the mountains. Paradise.
This morning we're socked in with fog. Hope the sun burns it off soon so we can get back to the serious business of strolling down the beach. :-)

hoping it isn't TOO cold in Vermon when you return!

My DH and I are enjoying the sun and balmy So Cal weather so much I had to
share. These pelicans hang around the bait shack on Oceanside pier patiently
waiting for a handout.
It's going to be tough heading back to cold Vermont weather.
