Sent from my iPhone
Well if you live in the UK you will know that at present Siri doesn't have the geography in the uk. I was very disappointed to find that it couldn't tell me any info regarding local restaurants, hotels etc. come on Apple, serve the UK too please!GillAs most of you know Siri will be released with iOS 6 in the fall.
Siri has a few changes that makes it a much better product. While
talking to your computer seems crazy, it actually is a very useful
tool to have at your disposal. I use Siri quite often; almost daily.
Naturally I use Siri on my iPhone because that's what device it is
currently available for, but I recently used it on my iPad when I
updated to iOS 6 and liked it a lot. It is one of those things that
you feel a little funny doing at first but you get very used to it
quite quickly because it is very convenient.
The changes that Apple has made to Siri will make it even more useful
in the future. One example is that today when you ask about movies
are playing near you, Siri displays a list of locations of movie
theaters close to you.
But with the new version you will be presented with the actual movie
names that are playing near you and only after you select a movie that
you want to see will it display the actual movie's information with
ratings, description and trailer. Included with the information is a
list of theaters that are showing only the actual movie you are
interested in seeing.
Siri will only continue to evolve making it an excellent product to
use with your iPad. No matter how fast you can type, it will always
be much faster to say it than it is to type it. Of course it will not
always be appropriate to talk to your computer, but the times that it
is will quickly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Carl W. Brooks
