Huh?
Apple's website says Apple TV has 10/100 base-t ethernet -- maximum of 100 Mbps.
It also has 802.11n Wifi -- several times faster than 100base-t ethernet:

IEEE 802.11n-2009 is an amendment to the IEEE  standard to improve network throughput over the previous standard 802.11g—with a significant increase in the maximum net data rate from 54 Mbit/s to 600 Mbit/s...
