Yep - very true - I'm self-employed and pay less for my auto insurance than my hubby who commuted to work, thus more miles on the car. Oh - and in WA state.
WA it applies. They ask how far you commute to work. I worked from home and it changed

commuting miles I put on my car. They also never ask how many total
miles I drive in a year. Auto insurance in New Hampshire is based on
your legal record (accidents, citations) and your car's safety rating
and weight.
