I like suites because I don't have to learn six different ways to do
something they all do (file open/save/print, etc. or formatting stuff) and
the various apps work together pretty well. Even if I end up with components
I don't need having the rest of them play nice with each other is worth it.

Don't look for a 'suite' -- figure out which tools you need and look for
