Hi all! My dad just purchased an ipad a few weeks ago and I am trying to help him with it. He is 80 and is having a lot of trouble getting it to do what he wants it to do. The biggest thing he is unhappy about is it doesn't have "Favorites" which he uses all of the time on his laptop. I googled about it and found where people synced their favorites to their ipads. I downloaded itunes on his laptop and it said it needed to be the 64 bit. I re downloaded the 64 bit one and hooked up his ipad to his laptop. Went to itunes, my devices, ipad, then I think I went to "other" and it said there would be a drop down but it won't drop down. I don't have the instructions in front of me so I am having difficulty remembering exactly what the wording was (that mid life forgetfulness) but I can't get them to move to his bookmarks. He is used to using them and is very disappointed. He is ready to give up and keeps telling me that it is a "young man's gadget". He knows how to use Safari and can get his email on it but is struggling with other things on it. I even helped him download the "SCOtutor" that was on here. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Julie Y
PS I have one now, too, but working 2 jobs doesn't give me much time to use it, yet. His is IPad 2 and mine IPad 3 does that make a difference?
