Hunting for it seems to take me back to the web page where I downloaded it, rather than to the app I downloaded. That makes it very difficult to use. How do I get the downloaded app to show up on the 'home page' with the apps that came with the iPad since I don't see any way to have both that page and the page showing the app from the store open at the same time? Thanks.

On the home page of your iPad, swipe to the left and you should see the
screen where the app installed. For some reason Apple doesn't let
downloaded apps install themselves to the home screen.

To move it, tap and hold the icon until all the icons start to wiggle
and a black circle with a white X appears in the upper right for most
icons. DON'T TAP THE X unless you want to delete the app! Once the
icons are wiggling, tap and hold the one you want to move and drag it
towards the left edge of the screen to move it back onto the home screen
-- keep holding the icon at the left edge until the screen changes to
the home screen. Once the home screen appears you can let go of the
icon and then hit the Home button at the bottom of the iPad and then all
the icons should stop wiggling.

To move icons to later screens, follow the same procedure only move the
icon to the right of the screen and hold it there until the screen changes.
