Oi have and nothing so far compares to autostitch. Iirc didn't photosynth guide you thru the photos? Autostitch allows uto be random. For guided 270°s and180°s I like dermandar to do this quickly...

Give Photosynth a try.  It's a (don't faint) Microsoft app for the iPhone/iPad that automatically generates a panoramic.  I also have 360 Panorama, but I think Photosynth may be a little better at it.
