1st post here although I've enjoyed reading the group for a number of months now..
I've had my iPad for about 8 months now. Sound recording for movies and voice recording worked when I got it, but some time thereafter it stopped working. Yesterday I tried Face Time for the first time and found that my Face Time partner got no sound from me. I then remembered that a few months back I tried a phone App and it would ring a phone but no sound was forthcoming from my end. I just thought the App didn't work and forgot about it.
I've tried several resets, and a restore + install backup with no change.
I will probably take it to the Apple Store about 90 miles away, but I thought I would see if anyone here had any ideas. It seems to be a known issue in that for some a hard reboot or a restore fixes the problem but not for me.
