Jim,
Are you sure this change is for existing customers? I know when they changed the 3G plan from unlimited, I was grandfathered into the unlimited. I never bought the 4G hotspot because we still don't have 4G here in Detroit. I have several devices and they were still unlimited as of the last billing, but I look into it. Two of the devices are 4G ready but only used for 3G unless they travel into a 4G Zone.
Thanks,
Carl W. Brooks

This may be considered a little bit off topic, but if you have a Sprint mobile hotspot, you may want to know this. I bought one last year to use in conjunction with my iPad 1, and then my iPad 2. I get good WiMAX (Sprint's '4G') so the unlimited data for 4G was a plus.
As of November 1, Sprint has eliminated unlimited data plans for mobile hotspots, so you are limited to an overall data cap that was set for the 3G part of the plan. My plan was 5GB for 3G and unlimited 4G, so now it would have been 5GB limit for both combined. Since I use WiMAX extensively, this would have resulted in $200+ overages for this month alone.Since this constitutes a 'material change' to their agreement, I called and cancelled my service. They attempted to make me pay an early termination fee, but I quoted the bit about a material change in service and they conceded to waive the ETF.I just thought I'd mention it here for anyone else who had done something similar. You only have 30 from the announcement (Oct 20ish) to call and cancel under those terms.
