I haven't updated yet because I'm afraid to, since I have had serious problems with my iTouch; it doesn't always connect to iTunes. Each time I updated the software I had to go to the Apple store to get the iTouch restored. I couldn't do it myself. I'm worried that may happen again. I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. The iPad2 is less fussy and works better. I'm wondering if both devices will perform better, easier, and without the previous problems I had, since iTunes can update wirelessly.
I read that everything will update between all devices. What if I don't want both devices updated? I have a lot of music in iTunes and I don't want to fill up my devices with my entire music library. I don't want all my apps on each device. Can I still choose which ones are on each device? I use Dropbox and some files are easier to read on the iPad so I don't also want them on the iTouch.
I would like to back up iTunes before I download IOS5 and iTunes 10.5, but the files are in many different places besides the iTunes file. How can I find them all to back up?
