No, the iPad isn't going to weed through your mail looking for Junk. I suggest you use a Gmail email address, since it's the best for handling junk automatically.
Unsubscribing only works if it's emails that you actually signed up for. Otherwise, you're just telling someone that they hit on a live email address, so that they can send you even more junk.

And I have tried I subscribing, but that has only increased the amount of stuff I get from some places.
