Automakers take this risk. Apple has more money than all automakers combined. Why can't apple financially take this risk? Thy have everything to gain. What are the stats? 30% of all smartphones are iPhones? Let's say 20%. Imagine if 20% of all cars were Apple cars. That's alotta moolah. I think that applies also thinking further ahead than we are. Remember they're already working on the 2017 iPhone and planning the 2020! This car is a 2019 project. Chill. Let the cards play out. And. Maybe they aren't making cars. Probably they are making car brains. Certainly all mere mortals can do now is guess. 👻

OK, Kris. What about the liability?
There's zero liability in an iPhone failure. Why in heaven's name would they deliberately spend billions in order to gain the very real possibility of losing many more billions to wrongful-death lawsuits?
Insane.

Lol you're missing the point. Cars are more computer than machine. Again. Apple is better at computers than ford. Easily Apple could win this.

on what do you base this statement?...apple has unfathomable amounts of capital to research and implement whatever it wants to...it's no stretch at all to expect they could have a car division.
