I understand that, but I grew up with the adage that the customer us always right. I worked in retail five years and we had training on empathizing with your customer. Even if you couldn't help them, you made them feel like you at least understood and cared about their problem--not like they are a bother interrupting your day.

This thread is EXACTLY why, as much as possible, I gather whatever information I can from carrier websites and technical reviews and comparisons, and then deal AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE with Apple, and not directly with the carriers.
