This blame Cook is all wrong. Like Jobs he doesnt design, as he is not a designer, Ives is.
Like Jobs he is not technical, others do that.

So why doe may want to blame Cook????

Because he's made a bunch of rush-out-the-door mistakes - starting with maps - and done nothing technically innovative to balance them. Because he's only a salesman, and he's bent on selling to the big crowd instead of to the technical crowd, where Apple earned its bragging rights.

If Apple up through Jobs had been the kind of company Cook seems determined to make it - more colors, more models, improved versions of what the competition's already making - it would never have become the sexy brand it is today. Image alone is very fragile.
