What the person does is none of my business. That's the point I was trying to make. He paid for the movie and it's not up to me to tell him what device he must watch it on.
PeteI don't think so. Its illegal or its not. In the case of copying your own content for backup or to play on another format, is illegal. It is against the T+C of the content creator. Its called format shifting, and the fact that its against the T+C is ridiculous, if the use is for backup or for watching on another file type or system. But IIRC format shifting is still not allowed.

I'm starting to think that everything is illegal to at least one person in this group. The self righteous preaching does get a little old after a while. As far as I'm concerned, you paid for it and when and where you watch it is nobody else's business.
PeteI had no idea it was illegal. I just did it so i could watch it at a later time. Now i'd like the option of watching it on a cross country flight. I'll see if i.can transfer it via iTunes.JB
