Yes, the new Paperwhite, sans ads, sans 3G. Fast enough, possibly, but it feels awkward, slow. Different perspectives. Since there's effectively no competition, they have little incentive to improve it, alas.

I've been experimenting with e-ink - Nook with glow-light (?) and Kindle Paperwhite. The form factor, weight, and reflective screen are substantial improvements over weighty flashlight-in-your-face tablets, but the Nook and the Kindle are terribly slow and klunky. The larger memory makes all the difference in the world for me.
