Re: [iPad] New iPad

Thanks for the info. I mainly put the cell on & off, so that I can control the amount used up in the cell data. Also, when at work, if I will be delayed from reading, I shut the cell off. Then put back on again when I can. If it gets too hectic at work, I don't use the cell at all. So far, I think that I will be fine with the 200 MB. I do get pics in email, but I mainly download them in the morning before going to work. (Yes, I can read at work.  :))

250 MB's is enough to cover email as long as someone doesn't send you any pictures.  You're paying the equivalent of $60/GB for data and that is no bargain.  Most people pay about $10/GB.

I have the iPad 2 & the Mini 1. I was planning on updating my iPad 2 next year & not updating my Mini. Trouble is, they now sell the Mini Retina with Free Data for 200MB from TMoble. I have AT&T $14.99 a month for 250MB currently on my Mini. Plus, my 32GB storage has been too small, apparently, because for the past month, I keep getting messages on my Mini that I am almost out of storage. Now, I want to get the Retina Mini because I can save money on the cell, around $200 & get 1 with more memory, maybe even, gulp, the 128GB or the 64GB. The smaller size mini is what I take out of the house. Any feedback from others would be appreciated.

That sounds like a good idea, Pat! And I am going to keep my current iPad with the 128 GB and get a new iPad Mini!

Maybe you could buy the first iPad that had the 128 GB, David, whatever number that one is (4?), and get a good price.  I have it and love it.  The larger memory makes all the difference in the world for me.  I feel the same as you, not needing the other features of the new one.

I just read a summary of the new features of the iPad5 (or whatever they
want to call it) and there's nothing that I read which will make me want
to jump from my iPad4, unless I can afford the 128GB model (dubious in
today's economy) in order to store more of my digitized sheet music.
