That's been a pet peeve of mine since iPad1. IOS7 facilitates batch deletes a bit, but there's still no mark-all feature.
The only two ways I know of mass or batch deleting are to remove and reinstall the account and to search for a pattern and mark the finds one at a time. Well, you can always go to the web-mail page of the mail provider, of course. But none of those should be necessary.
