The problem lies in backup up the iPad.
I don't have enough room on my computer to sync to iTunes … I have been deleting, etc. to try to find space. I will think I have space and then … nope … I don't. And it takes HOURS to empty the trash!
If you really have so little space on your computer that you can't backup your iPad there, I would say your more immediate problem is your computer, not your iPad
I don't know for Windows, but for a Mac, deleted files don't stop "filling up" your computer until your track is emptied. I have encountered folks who had well over 10GB of drive space tied up in the trash.
After you've got the trash emptied, you can look into software that helps look at what files are occupying a lot of space, so you can think about whether you should just get rid of some of them.
