It tastes somewhat like a bouillon beef cube would
taste like if ground up and spread on toast. I
don't really think it's all that badm a little
goes a long way, and we used to have an item
somewhat similar in the US, but I can't remember
its name. I think it also was probably made with
yeast and I suspect my mother used it in
gravies.
