as both my son and I are trumpet players (he's in grad school for
trumpet performance) I bought the complete CDSheetMusic library of
trumpet parts as well as the scores -- there are 13 CDs for each
instrument plus 13 DVDs for the scores. A lot of the music I have
scanned in using my Brother multi-function printer and a lot I've
purchased directly in PDF form.
www.imslp.org is a great resource for public domain orchestral music
(scores and parts).
And a surprising number of trumpet professors have posted lots of their
own editions and arrangements of etudes for free downloads.
There are some sources at ebay for buying PDF versions of fake books --
I've bought the PDF files of fake books I already owned in my library so
I wouldn't have to scan them all in.
ForScore is a terrific app -- I hope you get as much mileage out of it
as I do.
