Gee, compare this to Android, where actual device updates are a real rarity and "timely" may mean a year after Google releases it, if you get the update at all (once available from Google, the vendor has to modify the vanilla code to work with each of his products...and then the cell carrier has to do the same thing).
Other than the jailbreaking issue, Apple users have it good!
