Well, if it can be done within iTunes, it doesn't really matter which OS is used. I suspect if I had done some reading/homework on this issue, the answer would be clear. Hell, I just did it about 6 months ago when I changed computers, and I can't remember ! I think the original poster needs to do the homework. Google is your friend , if you type in the correct query words. Apple support website is probably even friendlier.

I'd use the consolidate library option on the new iTunes or even just import the XML file on the Mac but I'd b guessing and I'm I complete windows idiot, I know close to zero about it and it's a good chance SOME flavor of windows is used but maybe it's different from me to xp to vista to 7 to 8?
