I use mine for audiobooks in my car. The iPod plugs in and the sound come thru the speakers. I tried plugging in my iPhone but whenever an email comes in the audio us dimmed or if course if the phone rings. That's very irritating so I just use the iPod for books. I have several of the large capacity click wheel iPods that I just keep movies on.i really don't need them for that since I have a very large RAID I use to move movies or TV shows to the various computers and thus to Apple TV. Still I love those click wheel iPods. I never liked the iTouch and gave mine to a friend.
