I had the impression that, mostly, he was telling you that your described needs will not be met by an iPad this year.

I like lots of RAM so I can have 6 browsers open (FireFox, Chrome, RockMelt, IE, Opera, FireFox with 30+ tabs open, Safari) and I remote into work with that laptop. I video skype with my son in Tokyo and TeamViewer into his system every morning and RAM and may be Yahoo Messengering with several people including my boss and GF. More RAM means Skype runs fast.

So.
Why do you NOT have "lots of RAM"?
Can your machine not support it?
6 GB these days is NOT "lots of RAM". My 3-year-old laptop has that; my next will certainly have more.

There's no need to apologize for liking or wanting more RAM.
But you might consider explaining why, since you like and want more RAM, you only have 6 GB on the described machine.

> The reason I want to do with an iPad is I can not have the screen in my way the laptops are bulky the iPad is 1 piece and can lay flat while I watch TV and multi-task on my browsers, Yahoo, Skype, work PC I remoted into, etc.

It has been well shown that humans cannot multitask at all well. Some are very good at "time-slice multitasking", but actually doing multiple things simultaneously, no.

> Laptops are too damn bulky...

SOME laptops are, yes.
