We downloaded the videos from my iPad to his windows 8 tablet using senuti for Windows. Then placed them on a thumb drive which the tv could access. Senutiforwindows.com gave us a free trial.
So. There's a solution of anyone needs it 8-)

However, you may access your iCloud Drive from both.
