[iPad] Assistive Touch

I thought that I posted this earlier but it never showed so reposting.

I have been using assistive touch for a few months and am really enjoying it. Am looking to find more hints or tips on using it. I don't think it is widely known the hint below about powering off. There are probably lots of things that I can learn to use it better. An AppleCare rep told me that the majority of all their support questions are about a power key on and off ... or the Home key...no longer working.

This might not be an issue for most iPad users but if you are concerned with wearing out your home key or even the power key (when powering off)...check out the iPad option for assistive touch. You can keep a small square on the screen that is easily moved anywhere on the screen to switch to the home screen, customize gestures, screenshot or even hit the device option in the square then hold down lock screen a few seconds and it will give the option to power down.
Some people have problems with the swiping due to problems in their hands etc...this can really help. I just see it as a way to avoid wearing out the buttons.
Hope that it helps some.
