Mmm. I don't see anything there for me. It's still a point-at-the-icon-and-click thing. Got that now.
And on the downside, if I bought one, I'd have to put out for new cables and a new DAC for my music (or maybe a splitter box), since they've removed the digital out. So a $150 device would probably cost me about $250. I may bite the bullet in a year or three, just to stay current, but there's zero incentive to upgrade now. $250 can be much more useful elsewhere.
It feels to me like 90% marketing hype and 10% upgrade. YMMV though, as always. As always, it's subjective.
LOL, clarify??CheersTony NZWhere the country of less than 5 million beat the world in the Rugby World Cup! (Again)

I see their market but I just don't think it's that big. But I could be wrong. Things are changing. And maybe if I was deciding on if I wanted a tv I may choose an 18" tablet if I didn't have a computer. But I'm not. And I do have a computer.Samsung One-Ups iPad Pro With 18-Inch Galaxy View Tablet
SamsungThink the iPad Pro is big? Wait till you get a load of this thing. Samsung on Wednesday took the wraps off the monster Galaxy View tablet, an "unprecedented mobile entertainment experience" with an 18.4-inch screen. It's so big that it comes with a handle built into its screen cover, so you can carry the tablet like a briefcase — after all, it probably won't fit into your actual briefcase. The idea of the device, however, unlike the iPad Pro, isn't to give you more screen real estate for productivity apps. The Galaxy View is all about media.SamsungThe idea (presumably) is that you can take the View anywhere and use it as a small wireless TV — in the bedroom or kitchen, perhaps, or on the plane or train. The big screen is only 1080p, though, so you'll want to sit back a bit or those big pixels will really show.. And at nearly 6 pounds it isn't exactly the easiest travel companion.Does the idea of an enormous tablet-TV seem reasonable to you? Unfortunately, you can't buy one just yet — Samsung didn't provide any pricing or availability information. CES is just around the corner, however, so you may reasonably hope to hear more in January.~KLM\ "Antisocial behavior is a trait of intelligence in a world full of conformists" ~Nikola Tesla //
