Is your music selected to sync in the appropriate tab in iTunes on your computer?

Hi, I have not been listening to music on my iPad since updating to the latest version of ios 9.1.  I wanted to choose an album so clicked on Music.  All I got was a page with the apple logo and the word Music.  I hear some music playing but I cannot get to where the music is stored so that I can select an album or play list.  This is totally silly.  What am I doing wrong?  I just synced from iTunes on my computer.  I cannot do anything on this page that says Music.
