I have no problem texting to an iPhone or any other device. My problem is in texting from my iPad to an Android.
And yes, I know I could use Google voice, or some other app to do it, but my original question was whether I could do it with iMessage. And I believe the answer is no, not possible.
I think it only works if you have an iPhone or cellular iPad.PatPat, my iPad does have a cellular plan. Just seems so weird to me that it would be this difficult to text between an iPad and an Android.It's not difficult on a cel plan iPad. Only on a wifi iPad.Alice
My Verizon cellular iPad is incapable of sending SMS text messages in the absence of an iPhone to send them through.
