Re: [iPad] Re: New iPad mini 4

Cathy,

I was checking out the app, and the most recent reviews said there was a problem with the most latest update. I was thinking of buying the app but wondered if you had experienced any problems.

Thanks.

My sister is an artist.  For most of my life I thought I had no talent at all.  Three years ago I was laid up for 8 weeks with foot surgery -- my iPad a constant companion.

One day I thought I'd try ArtRage.  And discovered I wasn't hopeless after all.  Because it has an "undo" and "eraser" it was an ideal learning app.  Sure, it takes patience and practice to improve.  But I was sofa-bound with plenty of time.

Toby is right.  If you devote time to it you"ll amaze yourself.  I started sketching stuff around me -- a cup, a bowl, a clog on the area rug, a lamp, etc.  Not only will your skill improve you will start seeing everyday things in a new way.  For example, how light and shadow contribute to dimension,  how shape and proportion change with point-of-view, etc.

It would be worth your time to give drawing, painting, etc. a try either in the "real" or "virtual" world with an app.  The end result is unlikely to be as good as your brother's work, but the process is engrossing, enlightening and just plain fun.  Why not try it?

Cathy

PS  I'm going to be spending a lot more time with ArtRage soon.  I have surgery on the other foot in a couple of days.

I don't have the talent. My brother has the talent. He's a very good artist.
