Little in size but not in computing power.
I read somewhere that iPhone 1 had almost as much computational power as entire NASA had in 1969.
The raw power has been doubling every year.
Now multiprocessor chip architectures have several specialised processors for different tasks.

Anyway, Google also has been working on a self driven car. They have never worked on any hardware hence are even less qualified to manufacture a car.
However, their car effort is laudable.

Apple make little personal computers.  Why does anyone think they can do anything other than that?  Why should they try?  Little personal computers have been a gold mine for them.
