Friends Kingdom: [iPad] Re: Annoying calendar

I thought that might be the case --- But ...

1. I was under the impression this iPad (iPad Mini 2 (2014)) was old enough that it couldn't support multitasking. I see no other evidence that any of the multitasking functions is available.

2. Our other iOS devices don't do the same thing ... even thought two of them (iPhones 6 and 6+) are less than a year old.

Anyway, all this misses the point. I do not EVER start the Calendar app – I do not want it ever to start. It appears in the list of running apps ONLY when I swipe from the right edge – I don't want it to.

Why is it starting at all? How do I make it not ever start on its own (or from a Slide Over)?
