I submitted the following question to the iPad forum a few days ago, but it doesn't seem to have shown up on the forum. Maybe I didn't send it properly. As I'm particularly interested in removing the annoyance, I'll try sending it again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
iPad Mini 2 2014 running iOS 9.0.2.
Ever since upgrading to iOS 9 (I think), I've been getting a very annoying unwanted appearance of the Calendar. In many (all?) apps, when I swipe from too near the right edge of the screen, I don't get action on the app I'm using but rather the Calendar appears running down the right edge of the screen – even though the Calendar was not open before. To get back to what I wanted to do, I have to swipe the Calendar off the right – And now the Calendar IS open.
This happens on only the iPad Mini; not the other iPad (2013) we have, or either iPhone 6, all of which are running the same iOS version.
Does anyone have a clue what's going on? I assume it's some setting I have on the Mini, but looking at everything I can think of, I haven't found the culprit.
I'd appreciate any suggestions what to try.
Thanks
Stratton McAllister

Incidentally, I almost never invoke the built-in calendar app on my iOS devices. I handle my schedule another way.
