The first thing you need is an approach to problem solving — the hear of which is first to simplify the problem.

iPad browser … website.
You need to figure out whether the problem is with the browser or with the website.

Can the same browser view other websites without any problem? If so, that argues for the problem being at the website.

Can a different browser, either on the iPad or on a different computer entirely, view the website without any problem? If so, that argues for the problem being the browser on the iPad.

If the problem seems to be on the iPad, the next question is whether it is the browser or the device itself. Download a different browser if you don't already have one, and try that on the same website.

Try re-booting the iPad (press and hold both Home and On/Off buttons until the Apple logo appears).

> The second thing that started happening just a few days ago is that when I am trying to do a Google search I often cannot complete the wording of what I am looking for before the iPad returns on its own to the start screen, the one showing all the apps, etc.

The re-boot may fix this as well.
