Or just backup to icloud on IP4 and restore that backup from icloud on IP5 setup.
The biggest problem would be music, because you don't have an iTunes library to sync to.
Also, I'm not familiar with multiple users on a Mac, but I'd create her own account on your computer and login to that, if you decide to backup to iTunes.

My daughter has an iPhone 4, we got her a 5 for part of Xmas/Birthday, but the upgrade may be problematic.
I think she used to use iTunes, but her laptop has gone phut so she is getting one for Xmas.
So, when she gets the 5 tomorrow (early party/gift as her birthday is 25 Dec) and if she ant got iTunes available anywhere, and she sets up the 5, she can re download the apps for free. But can I get her 4 onto iTunes later, update and back it up, then restore to the 5? Bit messy. Given that the 4 is only 8GB, maybe she is happy to forget whats on it, just take photos off later?
OR, can I sign out of iTunes on my rMBP, sign in with her Apple ID, then do a backup, and sync? Then setup the 5?
