Smaller iPhone and larger iPad rumors continue
There's no denying that Apple found new success with its launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The company has broken every sales record it had in just the first few weeks of sales, making it clear that customers did want a larger display on an iPhone. That being said, we also heard some recent reports claiming that Apple is working on a smaller 4-inch iPhone, and these rumors gain more traction today.
Analyst Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company landed some fame recently with some accurate rumors about the display size of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus earlier this year. Today, Arcuri is back, and now claiming that Apple is effectively working on a new and smaller iPhone that follows its legacy lineup with a 4-inch display, but that shares the same design with the iPhone 6. Arcuri estimates that this smartphone might share the same specifications with the existing iPhone 5s, but will be intended to replace the iPhone 5c as the entry-level iPhone.
Arcuri's sources are also talking about the 12.9-inch iPad Pro that we've been hearing about for the last few months. Apple is reportedly planning to reinvigorate its tablet lineup through this new product, and might be planning to launch it this spring. We'll keep you posted as we learn more about these products going forward.
