Or better yet. Take the shotgun approach. Backup current data. Erase all content. Replace with backup of said data. See if that fixes the problem.

I'd plug the iPad into the computer and remove them thru iTunes. That may fix them. Even if it doesn't at least they are off your iPad.

I have a second generation IPad.  Lately I am unable to delete apps. I hold down an app and get the shaking x on all apps, but when I try and delete an app, it locks up and I have to do a complete reboot which does not help. Any suggestions?
