Are you on a Mac? If you are it sounds like you have those showing up on different calendars. I have two, one called Home and one called work. Sometimes I set an event using the wrong calendar. Uncheck some of those calendars. In the bottom of your screen touch "calendars" and see how many are checked,

I have an issue with my pre-installed calendar.  The national holidays are tripled for each one and it is annoying.  I have tried deleting them but they come right back.  I cannot delete and re-install because of it being pre-installed.  I have tried other calendars but can't really find one I like.  Has anyone else had this problem and solved it?
