This is my experience. If you do upgrade there will be a few apps that will no longer work. If you don't upgrade there will be a few apps that no longer work. Catch 22.

A friend of mine has an iPad2 that has been updated to the current system as each new update was released & he has had no problems. His use of the device is minimal compared to my own, but he does have about 75 apps on the device. The newer software will run many more apps than the version you are using now & you might do a Google search to determine other benefits.

Any big benefits to this 8.1? Thanks.
