Hmm. I'll try that.
Thanks.

I read this "You can restore it through iTunes by connecting via micro usb to computer. But then you would need a remote to set it up again."

That's for an Apple TV 3. But maybe similar applies to an Apple TV 2 or 1....

I am having trouble with my Apple TV (which I use to connect my iPad to my TV among other things). The remote does nothing (I replaced the battery but no go). I can get it to turn on by unplugging and plugging it back in. It shows the main screen and then goes to the screensaver but that's it. My iPad knows it's there, and attempts to connect (as does my husband's), but nothing happens. The last time I tried it, actually, the Apple TV eventually gave an error message after I tried to connect, something to the effect that the operation failed (the other times i have tried, it did nothing at all). Other weird thing is that the first time I noticed a problem a couple of weeks ago, my husband's iPad wouldn't connect. Mine connected that time. The next time neither would.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Julie
