Hi:
For the past 6 weeks or so, my iPad Air has been acting weird. Just not always. Sometimes it would shut down in the middle of doing something, or the touch screen didn't work quite right all the time, when I did a hard reset I had a difficult time getting it to open again.
So yesterday I took it to the Genius Bar, and they said it was a software issue they are aware of and have no idea what is causing it. They are working on a fix but not there yet. Sounds like they really have no idea — at least, that's what the tech said.
In the meantime, they did a test and it said 2 "boards" aren't functioning correctly, which sounds like hardware to me, but they said it is software. They took it back to factory settings, and I was told to not restore from backup because the problem could be in the backup, also.
So today, I am painstakingly putting back everything I can remember, going from Apps not on this iPad, and then putting some in folders and alphabetizing the lot. What a nuisance. And, of course, I have to re-enter all email codes.
The iPad is 13 months old, and I use it a lot. Hope this fixes it.
