My cell tower triangulation. If cellular is not on, it uses wifi to get a less accurate location, this way...
In your case there may not be enough info outside your immediate home to be more accurate

How does current location determine the location? It finds my home location one address to high, no big deal considering it can also figure out where I am when I'm 'out and about'. [You can see that I have finally become a Wisconsinite after thirty plus years living here. :-) ]
That it finds my location makes me wonder HOW!
