Glad you're all ok. Surprised me to hear that there was an earthquake on the Franklin fault in Napa. My Dad said that some of the buildings on Tennessee Street in Vallejo were damaged. I guess Vallejo is close enough to Napa.
I live in the Northbay, Sonoma county and we are all okay. We were certainly rockin' & rollin' but no damage or injuries. This one was actually worse for us than the 1989 quake because the epicenter was much closer than 89. The major *geologic/seismic* difference is that the California coastal system is
a plate boundary that is sliding sideways and the New Zealand system is a megathrust subduction zone, which typically can produce the worst shakers.
