Possibly, but Id expect all of the sites etc to be slow if that was the case. Slow internet would not cause typing to be lagging though

Or the obvious thing is that either the website or her Internet connection is running slow.
Pete
It seems that your iPad is running slow Elaine. If it catches up. CPU'd do not run slow, they run at the same speed all of the time, so if it not keeping uip, thenm either the iPad is doing other things, or, and more likely, the RAM is very full. Have you reduced youir iPad storage and tried that?
Is it any better if you do a full reboot, holding down Sleep and Home button for quiet a few seconds until the while Apple logo appears.

I should have elaborated: Mine does this quite often when I open Gmail through Safari, and when I try to watch a video on Fox News. It rarely if ever happens in other apps or news sites. Only when loading Gmail and only when watching a Fox News video (not just my local affiliate, either.) Even typing this post has been a pain because every few letters, it stops typing and then 'catches up'. I just adapt :)Elaine

Is anybody experiencing a problem with iOS 7.x that causes the iPad to all of a sudden exit from an App (Mainly Face Book) and go back to the Home Screen? I have been having this problem for the past few weeks and I decided to upgrade to the latest iOS version (7.1.?) and it still happens. It never happened with the older iOS versions (6.x.x). It seems that Apple is putting out a faulty Operating System and letting the Users discover the problems instead of testing it thoroughly before release. Are they deciding they want to be another Microsoft and let the users solve the problems?
I was at my daughter's home last night and we were discussing something about the iPad. She asked if my iPad had started exiting an App and going back to the home screen. I told her it had done that several times. I have a feeling it has something to do with the new iOS Upgrades that Apple has been pushing all of us into. Any comments would be appreciated or if you know of a solution, I'd sure like to hear it.Thanks,
Dick
