If the issue affects all iOS devices, as iOS is flaky, then you have a point, but how have you concluded that iOS is flaky and doesn't now just work, as it seems to be a very limited issue. Windows? Well, for many Windows is expected to fail, that's rubbish. But for some, its a cool thing to say.

Then it stops being "It just works", Tony, and becomes something inherently flaky, like Windows, in which you simply expect stuff to break now and then. But iOS is a closed system, and it really ought to work better than that. IMHO, of course :0)
Im not sure I agree
If these were issues caused by Apple, in terms of what they do to iOS, then it should appear on every iPad or iOS device.
There is no doubt that some users have this issue or the one that started this thread, but not everyone does, far, far from it, it seems
So, it would appear to be a combo of "stuff": that may interact togther badly. Maybe two or more apps in coexistence are the issue. A factory restore back to outopf the store status, add nothing back to it for a week to see if that resolves the issue. Then back to the Apple Store?.

Seems I've always had unexpected crashes on the iPad. Disappointing, surely.I'd guess Apple would blame the developers most of the time, but when it happens in an Apple app - like mail, for example - there's much less room for them to escape blame.Certainly, they feel the market pressures them to keep adding more baggage to iOS, and that no doubt causes problems. Complexity leads to unintended consequences, and very few of those are likely to be desirable. I've noticed, for example, a little jerk in a Pages function since 7.1 that I've got to learn to wait for. In the past, it was tap, tap, tap. Now, it's tap, tap, wait, jerk, tap.Is anybody experiencing a problem with iOS 7.x that causes the iPad to all of a sudden exit from an App (Mainly Face Book) and go back to the Home Screen? I have been having this problem for the past few weeks and I decided to upgrade to the latest iOS version (7.1.?) and it still happens. It never happened with the older iOS versions (6.x.x). It seems that Apple is putting out a faulty Operating System and letting the Users discover the problems instead of testing it thoroughly before release. Are they deciding they want to be another Microsoft and let the users solve the problems?
I was at my daughter's home last night and we were discussing something about the iPad. She asked if my iPad had started exiting an App and going back to the home screen. I told her it had done that several times. I have a feeling it has something to do with the new iOS Upgrades that Apple has been pushing all of us into. Any comments would be appreciated or if you know of a solution, I'd sure like to hear it.Thanks,
Dick
