Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings
That will reset the network settings ( obviously!! ) and you can try to connect to wifi, add the password, and it should be ok

Subject: [iPad] mini has trouble connecting to wifi
My iPad mini is very reluctant to connect to wifi. When I go into settings and click connect to wifi, and then select the wifi network that I want, it will sit there and spin and spin, sometimes for hours if I let it, and not connect.
I've tried shutting down entirely and restarting and sometimes that seems to work, but not always.
Is there something else that I should be doing? My computer, a macbook pro, is in the same room and is connected with no problems at all.
Thanks for any ideas!
Patti
