As the OP, the transition change I see is actually part of the reduce motion/animation, as in animation. I turned it back on and the transition animation is back.

I thought that was 7.03, maybe it is or not, but to summarise

If Reduce Motion is turned off you get parallax and the animation of the icons and apps as you open or close an app. Expanding out, and contracting in

If Reduce Motion setting is turned on, you do not get parallax and opening/closing apps is a fade

Some people actually DO have a condition like epilepsy or such that their brain is 'wired differently' and THEY perceive the motion stuff or strobe lights etc... I guess, more than you or I would. I doubt anyone is actively 'staring' at their screen, but some folks do have a problem.

The only motion sickness I could possibly see, and this is a stretch, is when you search for an app using Spotlight and then launch it. Maybe that whole slow motion launching as you dive into the app could be causing something. It's much more noticeable on an iPad than an iPhone.
