I agree with John to a point - I am finding the same problem re copying from one app and pasting to another. I eventually get it to work but sometimes I have to go into for example Safari and hit the copy button three or four times to allow me to paste in facebook or somewhere else.
I can 'see' the copy feature being engaged; yet iOS 7 is finicky about the paste function.
Frankly, my iPad experience with iOS has been less than stellar (I have an iPad 3 64 GB that is fairly full of apps). It often just reboots on my and updating the apps is painful.
The experience on my iPhone 4S is much better though I do find that there is a slight delay in functionality as compared to iOS 6. My case for my iPhone 5S finally arrived today so I will be switching phones.

One of my FB pages is a Norwegian genealogy group in which some posts are in Norsk. Under iOS 6 I could select and copy text, then I could paste in iTranslate and translate to English. Now this capability has been removed.
